tin 118 is a silvery malleable metallic element that belongs to group 14 of the periodic table. It is naturally occurring, chemically reactive, and nontoxic. It combines directly with oxygen and chlorine and displaces hydrogen from dilute acids. It is used in solder (33%Sn:67%Pb) and bronze (20%Sn:80%Cu), and as a coating for steel cans. Tin also forms stannous fluoride (SnF2), which is used in some toothpaste.
American Elements offers a wide range of high purity tin metals, both standard and rare isotopes, for research, manufacturing, and applications. tin 118 is available as rod, pellets, pieces, granules, and sputtering targets.
